Vol. 212 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Valuation of Lands and Buildings.

10.

asked the Minister for Finance what proportion of poor law valuation in respect of agricultural lands and buildings is related to lands; and what proportion is related to buildings.

The total valuation included in the Revised Valuation Lists published on 1st March, 1964, excluding county boroughs, urban districts and townships is £9,716,085 16s. Od. of which £6,892,154 15s. 0d. is for agricultural land and £2,719,607 9s. 0d. for buildings. Buildings in this context would include farm residences and other residences and buildings not associated with farms. It is not possible to state what deduction should be made for these to arrive at a net figure for agricultural buildings in the strict sense.
