Vol. 212 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Cahir Estate Employees.

37.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will expedite the payment of compensation, either by way of monetary reward or by way of land, to the ex-employees of the Charteris Estate, Cahir, County Tipperary.

I understand that gratuities under section 29, Land Act, 1950, have just been paid by the Land Commission to a number of displaced employees on this estate.

It is not possible to indicate when further allocations from the unallotted balance of the estate will be feasible but all eligible claimants will be fully considered.
