Vol. 212 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Waterford Water Supplies.

11.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he is aware that at present the new school erected at Villierstown, County Waterford, is without a water supply; and if he will take immediate steps to end the present delay in the provision of a water supply in Villierstown.

I am aware that the new school at Villierstown cannot be supplied from the existing water supply which is inadequate. I have already given approval to the council's proposals for a water supply improvement scheme which I understand will be put to tender shortly.

12.

asked the Minister for Local Government what is the upto-date position with regard to the provision of a piped water supply at Modeligo, County Waterford.

I understand that a preliminary report on the scheme has been received by Waterford County Council from their consulting engineer and is being examined by them.
