Vol. 212 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Tipperary Cottages.

15.

asked the Minister for Local Government the number of cottages covered by each compulsory purchase order at present under consideration in his Department from South Tipperary County Council; the location of all such cottages; and the date when each order is likely to be sanctioned.

The only such Compulsory Purchase Order before me at present is the Tipperary South Riding Compulsory Purchase (Labourers Acts) No. 2 Order, 1963. The order was unopposed in so far as three of the sites were concerned and has been confirmed in respect of them. The part of the order still undetermined relates to sites for 16 cottages at Ardfinnan and for 8 cottages at Farranjordan. The report of the inspector who held the inquiry regarding these sites is being examined and I hope to be in a position to convey a decision to the local authority shortly.
