asked the Minister for Agriculture the total quota, including all extensions to the original quota, allowed by the British Government for the export of creamery butter from this country during 1964.

The quota year in relation to imports of butter into Britain and the Six Counties is the year commencing Ist April. This year's basic quota and the authorised additions to it amount to 17,405 tons.

asked the Minister for Agriculture the quantity of creamery butter that his Department estimate will be produced in 1964; and the quantity of this available for export.

It is estimated that about 54,000 tons of creamery butter will be produced in 1964 and that about 18,500 tons of that quantity will be available for export.

asked the Minister for Agriculture the quantity of Kerry-gold butter sold on the British market for the first ten months of 1964; the quantity of other Irish creamery butter sold there; and the price paid in each case.

During the first ten months of 1964, exports of Irish butter to the British market amounted to approximately 9,600 tons at an average price of £363 per ton f.o.b.

As An Bord Bainne is a trading concern, the publication of the details requested by the Deputy could prejudice the Board's trading position.
