The establishment of a State Airport in the vicinity of Sligo is not under consideration. The establishment of an aerodrome in the locality is a matter for local or commercial enterprise subject to the site selected being approved for the necessary aerodrome licence. Technical assessments of a number of sites suggested as aerodrome sites by the Sligo Corporation have been furnished to the Corporation.
