Vol. 212 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Tramore Garda Station.

68.

asked the Minister for Justice what is the position regarding the proposed new Garda station at Tramore, County Waterford.

A site suitable for the proposed new Garda station in Tramore was secured by the Commissioners of Public Works but, because of objections by the local authority, it has not been possible to use it for the erection of a Garda station. So far, a suitable alternative site has not been found but the Commissioners of Public Works are continuing their efforts to find one.

They will be a long time.

It is the local authority's fault.

They should go down and consult with the local authority.

They have done that.

A Deputy

The Deputy could use his good offices.

I was able to settle a difficulty before, as the Minister knows.

Yes, the Deputy was helpful.
