asked the Minister for Health the present maximum permissible tuberculosis allowance payable to a person with no other means of livelihood (a) who is a single man or woman (b) who has one dependant (c) who has three dependants and (d) who has four dependants.

The maximum rates which may be paid to eligible tuberculosis patients are set out in the schedule to the Infectious Diseases (Maintenance) Regulations, 1964. The payments which may be made in the cases specified by the Deputy will vary in accordance with marital state, age of dependants, place of residence and domestic circumstances. I have accordingly set out the appropriate information in the form of a tabular statement which, with your permission, a Cheann Comhairle, I propose to circulate with the Official Report.
