asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce the names of the directors of the Slaney Cabinet Works in respect of which on the failure of the company a trade loan guarantee of £30,000 was paid by him.

The names of the directors as shown in the last annual return field by the company at the Companies Registration Office, Dublin Castle were Mr. F.N. Hadden, Mr. R. N. Hadden, Mrs. J.N. Forbes and Mr. G.A. Wagstaff.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce the name of the receiver appointed in respect of the Slaney Cabinet Works, whose fees were considered to be high by the Committee of Public Accounts, and the amount of that fee.

The name of the receiver was Mr. Vincent Crowley. The amount of the fees paid to Mr. Crowley in respect of the receivership, which were in accordance with the rates which had been fixed by the professional association concerned, was £2,757 0s. 3d. The receivership lasted from January, 1959, to November, 1961, and included a period during which Mr. Crowley operated the business so as to be in a position to dispose of it as a going concern, thereby preserving the employment afforded by the company.
