Vol. 214 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Standard and Substandard Dublin Dwellings.

61.

Mr. Ryan

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will give details of the accommodation and amenities of dwellings which are regarded as standard by the Dublin Corporation; and the number of Corporation dwellings which are substandard.

I understand that Dublin Corporation regard a dwelling as substandard if it has not got an internal water supply, sink and water closet for the separate use of the occupants of the dwelling. There are 1,888 such dwellings.

Mr. Ryan

Belonging to the Corporation? There are a lot more than 1,888.

The question asked was the number of Corporation dwellings which are substandard.
