There is only one county where the annual expenditure on the repair and maintenance of labourers' cottages exceeds that in Limerick county.

asked the Minister for Local Government (a) the number of houses provided under the Labourers Acts which have been vested in tenant purchasers by Limerick County Council up to 31st March, 1964, and (b) the number of county councils that have a greater percentage and number vested.
As at 31st March, 1964, Limerick County Council had vested 3,852 cottages in tenant purchasers. This represented 57.8 per cent of the total number of cottages provided by the Council. As at the same date, two county councils had vested a greater number of cottages, and 22 a higher percentage of the total provided by them.
