Vol. 214 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Closing of Donegal Subpostoffice.

106.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he will reconsider his decision to close the subpostoffice at Strathsbridge, Carndonagh, County Donegal.

I have reconsidered the matter but there are no good grounds for reversing the decision already taken.

Could the Minister reconsider his decision in view of the fact that the people of this locality are now left without any telephone or telegraph communication? They do not mind losing the post office, if it has to go, but would the Minister consider leaving the telephone already there for the use of the public.

I will consider that. In all such cases I will do the same.

Thank you.
