asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will state the number of herd owners in South Kerry including the Dingle peninsula who received grants under the calved heifer scheme; the minimum payment made to a herd owner; the maximum payment made to a herd owner; the total amount already paid; and the total amount outstanding.

Particulars are not readily available in relation to South Kerry. For County Kerry as a whole, the number of herd owners who received grants was 5,300; the minimum payment was £15; the maximum payment was £450; the total amount already paid is £177,735; and the amount outstanding in respect of heifers accepted under the scheme is £1,605.

asked the Minister for Agriculture the total amount paid to date to farmers under the calved heifer scheme in County Galway.

The total amount paid is £129,660.
