I approved some months ago the purchase of a limited number of portable two-way radio sets for use on an experimental basis by members of the Force on beat duty in the Dublin Metropolitan Area.
These sets will be supplied in the near future. When experience has been gained of the value of this new equipment, the question of providing additional sets will be considered.
