A resort development scheme has been under way at Salthill for some time. I am informed by Bord Fáilte that the South Park and Salthill Park have been completed as have the promenade extension and new car park, groynes and protective shore-works and golf club extension and improvements. Other works are in hands and will be completed as quickly as legal, constructional and financing factors permit.
Can the Minister indicate when the Waterside scheme will be commenced?
