Vol. 215 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Delivery of Seed Potatoes.

25.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he is aware of the hold-up in the delivery of seed potatoes from the North and West of Ireland to the Munster counties; and, if so, if he is in a position to state the cause of this annoying and uncalled for delay.

I am not aware of delay in delivery of seed potatoes where orders were placed in good time, but if the Deputy supplies to my Department details of any particular difficulty, I shall have the matter looked into.

It is true to say, and I want to tell the Minister and the House——

This is Question Time, not information time.

I am asking the Minister is he aware that this shortage exists and I believe that, in my county and in Munster, it exists only because people in Donegal are waiting for bigger prices for seed potatoes.
