asked the Minister for Social Welfare how many counties pay home assistance to old age pensioners; and how many pensioners receive home assistance in each county.
Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Home Assistance Payments to Old Age Pensioners.
Statistics showing the number of old age pensioners in receipt of public assistance are not compiled regularly. Special returns obtained from the public assistance authorities in November last showed that some old age pensioners were receiving home assistance in each county. The numbers are set out in a tabular statement which, with your permission, a Cheann Comhairle, I propose to circulate with the Official Report.
