That paragraph (b) of subsection (3) of section 5 of the Income Tax Act, 1918, shall be repealed.

Could the Minister explain this Resolution?
This refers to certain reliefs granted by the Treasury to those in the service of the Crown. It enables a relief on certain sur-tax payments. It is an anachronism in our system and we propose to abolish it.
