asked the Minister for Local Government if a sewerage scheme for Moycullen, County Galway has been submitted to his Department for sanction; and, if so, what is the present position.

No firm proposals for a sewerage scheme for Moycullen have been submitted to my Department.

I approved of the appointment of a consulting engineer to prepare preliminary report, drawings and estimate of cost for a scheme in August, 1962. I understand that the Galway County Council expect the consultant to submit his proposals for a scheme shortly.

asked the Minister for Local Government if a sewerage scheme for Oranmore, County Galway, has been submitted to his Department for sanction; and, if so, what is the present position.

asked the Minister for Local Government whether there are any plans before his Department to provide sewerage facilities at Oranmore, County Galway; and, if so, when the work will commence.

With your permission, a Cheann Comhairle, I propose to take Questions Nos. 26 and 27 together.

No proposals have been submitted to my Department for the provision of a sewerage scheme at Oranmore. I understand that an outline scheme has been prepared by the county engineer and that it will be submitted to my Department shortly.
