Vol. 215 No. 12

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Limerick Stud Farm.

36.

asked the Minister for Lands if the Land Commission will consider acquiring the stud farm of 346 acres at Kilfrush, Hospital, County Limerick for relief of local congestion, to which he referred in a reply of 12th May; and, if not, why.

As intimated in my reply to the Deputy's Question (No. 23) of 12th inst., this property being described as a stud farm is not as such open to compulsory acquisition by the Land Commission. The relevant statutory provisions are contained in section 9, Land Act, 1927 and section 34, Land Act, 1936, to which I would refer the Deputy.
