Vol. 215 No. 12

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Clifden (Galway) Vocational School.

70.

asked the Minister for Education whether there are any plans before his Department for the provision of a vocational school in Clifden, County Galway; and if so, when the school will be built.

At a meeting held in July, 1963, the County Galway Vocational Education Committee adopted a resolution that in the next section of development in the Committee's administrative area new schools should be provided at Clifden, at Ballygar and at Woodford. In December, 1963, my Department requested the committee to provide certain information in relation to the areas to be served by each of the proposed new schools. This information has not yet come to hand and, in its absence, I am not in a position to deal further with the proposal.
