A general scheme is in course of planning for the testing, under section 18 of the Road Traffic Act, 1961, of mechanically propelled vehicles. At this stage it is not possible to say what classes of vehicles will come within the ambit of the scheme. Details of proposals will be published and comments invited before a formal scheme is made.
