Vol. 216 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Manufacture of Potato Crisps.

40.

Mr. O'Leary

asked the Minister for Agriculture if in view of the fact that no substantial improvement in the supply of home potatoes for potato crisp manufacture has occurred he will agree to receive a deputation of management and union concerned to review the position so as to prevent a similar situation next season.

I do not accept the implication that there was something wrong about the situation this year and that nothing was done about it.

Mr. O'Leary

I should like to thank the Minister's Department. The matter was settled yesterday. It took two Parliamentary Questions, but we and the employees are grateful.

That is a gloss on the situation.

Somebody slipped on the gloss.
