Vol. 216 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - ESB Developments.

12.

asked the Minister for Transport and Power if he will give particulars of all the proposed developments in the Pigeon House Road, Pigeon House Fort and South Wall extension area of Dublin by the Electricity Supply Board.

I am informed by the Electricity Supply Board that the existing power station at Ringsend is being extended from its present capacity of 150 megawatt to its final capacity of 270 megawatt. A site capable of development up to 1,000 megawatt has been selected for a new power station east of the present Pigeon House station. The initial development of this site to a capacity of 240 megawatt is now being planned.
