I approved of Dublin County Council's preliminary proposals on the Dodder Valley drainage scheme, which will cater for the area in question on 16th May, 1964, subject to further consideration of a number of matters including the extent of the drainage area and the provision for surface water. Following conferences held between officials of Dublin Corporation, Dublin County Council and my Department, agreement in principle has been reached on outstanding issues and I have asked the county council to proceed further with the design of the scheme as quickly as possible.
