Vol. 217 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Dublin Supplementary Housing Grants.

6.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will state in respect of the five years ended March 1965 (a) the number of applications received for Dublin Corporation supplementary grants from persons anxious to make their own arrangements to provide their families with housing accommodation, (b) the number of applications sanctioned, (c) the number rejected, (d) the number postponed for further consideration, (e) the cause of rejection, and (f) whether there was an appeal allowed against such rejection.

The detailed information requested by the Deputy is not available in my Department. Dublin Corporation have been asked to supply it and I will forward it to the Deputy when received.

There is no provision for an appeal against the decision of a housing authority on an application for a supplementary grant.
