asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs the number of applicants awaiting telephones in the Kildare constituency; and when it is likely that they will have telephones installed.

The number is about 400. Some 140 of these are at present in course of being connected and it is planned to offer service to the majority of the remainder within this financial year.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs the number of applicants on the waiting list for telephones in South Kerry; and how long it will take to instal telephones for them.

The number is about 95. Some 30 of these are at present in course of being connected and it is planned to offer service to the majority of the remainder within the current financial year.
