Sligo County Council were notified on 29th January that the proposed pier scheme was approved in principle for execution under the Department's scheme of 50 per cent amenity grants. Some changes in the scheme were suggested. I understand that revised plans and specification have been prepared by a consultant and are being examined by the council.
