asked the Minister for Lands the length of time the estate of a person (name supplied) has been in the possession of the Land Commission; and when this estate will be divided among smallholders in the area.

I propose, with your permission, a Cheann Comhairle, to take Questions Nos. 26 and 27 together.

These two small properties, aggregating 46 acres, were acquired in 1961. It is hoped that comprehensive resale proposals for a combined area of some 144 acres in this locality—embracing the two estates in question and some other lands which have come on hands more recently—will be formulated by the Land Commission later this year.

And will be divided this year?

I hope so.

I hope so, too. It is a long time since 1961.
