Four new industrial projects and one extension of an existing industry came to my notice as having commenced production in County Sligo in the four years 1961 to 1964 inclusive. Three of the new industries, namely Liebigs (Ireland) Ltd., Filler and Fiebig Ltd., and Hanson Scale Co. are located in Sligo town and the fourth, K.D. Reinforced Plastics Ltd., at Collooney. The extension referred to is North West Chip Basket Co. Ltd. which is located in Sligo town.
No new industries or extensions of existing industries came to notice as having commenced production in County Leitrim in the same period.
