Vol. 217 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Dún Laoghaire Voting Facilities.

12.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he is prepared to have voting facilities made available on the ground floor in the Town Hall, Dún Laoghaire, as many people are unable to climb the stairs because of illness.

The provision of polling stations at a parliamentary or local election is the responsibility of the returning officer concerned.

I shall have a copy of the Deputy's question sent to the Dublin County Council and the returning officer concerned, to consider whether alternative accommodation is needed.
