Vol. 217 No. 11

Supplementary Estimate, 1965-66. - Vote 20—Rates on Government Property.

I move:

That a sum not exceeding £692,500 be granted to complete the sum necessary to defray the charge which will come in course of payment during the year ending on the 31st day of March, 1966, for Rates and Contributions in lieu of Rates, etc., in respect of Government Property, and for Contributions towards Rates on Premises occupied by Representatives of External Governments.

By how much has the Vote increased as compared with last year?

Hear, hear !

The figure is £137,970.

The rates have gone up. Now, perhaps, the Minister will have some sympathy with the small publicans in rural Ireland who have had a similar experience.

Vote put and agreed to.
