Tenders received by Longford County Council for the reconstruction of this bridge have been discussed by engineering representatives of the various parties concerned with the council's consultant for the work. The consultant's report on the tenders and the council's proposals in the matter are awaited. It is not possible at this stage to say when the work of reconstruction will commence.
