Vol. 218 No. 1

Order of Business.

It is proposed to take business in the following order: Nos. 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 7 and 9. Private Members' Business will be taken from 6 to 7.30, No. 18 on the Order Paper.

Would the Taoiseach say on what days the Dáil will sit next week?

Wednesday and Thursday.

Is the Taoiseach in a position to say when No. 5 will be moved?

As far as we are concerned, we wish to have it taken tomorrow but I take it this will have to be arranged between the Whips.

On the Order of Business, may I make an emphatic protest to you, Sir, and to the Minister for Finance that we have not yet got printed reports of sittings of the Dáil in the last session. The Minister for Local Government, for example, is going to deal with the Committee Stage of the Housing Bill and the printed reports of the Second Reading debates have not yet come to hand. Surely since the printing strike it should have been possible to see that the reports would be made available in the proper way.

Every facility has been afforded to the printers to produce the books. All preparations had been made to have them printed.

Somebody should have got after the printers. If it was a private enterprise transaction, the owner would have got after the printers.

We have got after the printers.

Not with much success.

No, but we have done it.
