asked the Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries if he will introduce effective legislation to control dogs in order to prevent the depredation by them of sheep flocks; and if he is aware of many losses to sheep owners as a result of the attack on sheep by dogs.

Provision is made under the Dogs Act, 1906, and Orders made thereunder, and the Dogs (Protection of Livestock) Act, 1960, for the control of dogs.
