Vol. 218 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Christmas Postage Stamps.

181.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he will introduce for sale annually at Christmas time postage stamps based on the subject of the Nativity.

It would not be possible in the time available to issue a special postage stamp or stamps of the kind suggested for next Christmas. On the question of a regular Christmas stamp, there are divided views on whether it is desirable to issue such stamps. It is not our present intention to do so.
