Vol. 218 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - South Tipperary Housing Grants.

28.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he is aware that there is an imminent threat that the money available to the South Tipperary local authorities for the payment of new house grants and reconstruction grants will run out; and when he expects that more money will be made available for this purpose.

I am not so aware. Clonmel Corporation and Carrick-on-Suir Urban District Council have undrawn balances of existing loans available for making supplementary grants. Applications for sanctions to further loans from the corporation and from Tipperary Urban District Council are being processed in the normal way. The county council make supplementary grants from revenue, and Cashel Urban District Council do not make any such grants.
