Vol. 218 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Cavan Traffic Bye-Laws.

48.

(Cavan) asked the Minister for Local Government the date on which the traffic bye-laws for Cavan town were finally submitted to his Department; and when he proposes to approve them.

Cavan Traffic and Parking Bye-Laws, 1964, were submitted by the Commissioner of the Garda Síochána for my approval on 23rd December, 1964, and confirmed by me on 11th February, 1965. I understand that these bye-laws have not been put into operation as a doubt arose, after the bye-laws were made and confirmed, as to the correctness of some street names used in them. New bye-laws are being prepared by the Commissioner of the Garda Síochána but have not yet been submitted to me.
