Vol. 218 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Directors and Shareholders of State-aided Companies.

125.

Mr. Barrett

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if his Department are provided with a list of the names and addresses of all directors and shareholders in companies which receive State aid.

All relevant information, including, where necessary, the names and addresses of the directors and shareholders, is obtained from companies who receive State aid from my Department and the State-sponsored bodies for which I am responsible. Information about the directors and shareholders of all companies, whether State-aided or not, which have a place of business in this country is, of course, available in the Companies Registration Office, which is administered by my Department.
