Vol. 218 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - School Health Service.

52.

asked the Minister for Health if it is intended to review the schools health service; and, if so, if he will consider extending the service to pupils of vocational schools.

Mr. O'Malley

A comprehensive review of the school health service, and of the child welfare clinic service, is at present being made by a group comprising members of the staffs of my Department, and of certain health authorities.

I will consider the feasibility of extending the school health service to day pupils of vocational, and other schools, in the light of the report which will be submitted to me, when the review is completed.
