The terms of the scheme under which credit on the incremental salary scale is given in respect of teaching service in grammar schools in Northern Ireland is in the form of a memorandum. With your permission, a Cheann Comhairle, I propose to have the memorandum circulated with the Official Report. In relation to the remainder of the Deputy's question, the reply in each case is seven.
Following is the memorandum:
Creidiúint ar na Scálaí Breistuaras-tail a thabhairt i leith seirbhís mhúinteoireachta i Scoileanna Gram-éir sna Sé Contae de Thuaisceart na hÉireann.
(Credit on the Incremental Salary Scales in respect of teaching service in Grammar Schools in the Six Counties of Northern Ireland).
1. Caithfidh an tseirbhís bheith ina seirbhís shásúil lánaimsire mhúinteoireachta agus bheith tugtha i Scoileanna Graiméir sna Sé Contae de Thuaisceart na hÉireann.
(The service shall be satisfactory full-time teaching service and shall be given in Grammar Schools in the Six Counties of Northern Ireland).

(The service shall be given subsequent to the date on which the teacher has obtained the academic and training in teaching qualifications specified in Regulation 2 of the Regulations for the Register of the Intermediate School Teachers).
3. Ní glachfar leis an tseirbhís seo mar thaithí i múinteoireacht chun críche Rialacháin 2 (iii) de na Rialacha i gcomhair Chlár na Múinteoirí Idirmheánacha.
(The service shall not be accepted as experience in teaching for purposes of Regulation 2 (iii) of the Regulations for the Register of the Intermediate School Teachers).
4. (Where an applicant for credit under this scheme is a probationer teacher eligible for payment of the supplementary allowance, that allowance shall be increased by an amount equal to the difference between £200 and the amount of Incremental Salary payable to a recognised teacher whose total number of years of approved teaching service at the beginning of the schoolyear in question was equal to the number of years of service in the Six Counties of Northern Ireland given by the applicant and being accepted for the purpose of the scheme).

(The service shall not be regarded as approved teaching service as defined in the Rules for the Payment of Incremental Salary to Secondary Teachers).

(Credit for such service for the purpose of placing on the Incremental Salary scales shall in no case exceed five years).
7. Ní bhainfidh an scéim seo ach le seirbhís a bheidh tugtha sna Sé Contae de Thuaisceart na hÉireann tar éis 31 Iúil, 1962.
(This scheme shall apply only to service given in the Six Counties of Northern Ireland after 31 July, 1962).
8. Caithfidh an múinteoir aon choinníollacha áirithe a cheanglóidh an tAire Oideachais air a chomlíonadh in aon chás áirithe ó thaobh creidiúint a dheonadh i leith na seirbhíse sin.
(The teacher shall comply with any particular conditions which the Minister for Education may require in an individual case in relation to the grant of credit for such service).
