Vol. 218 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Local Loans Fund Issues.

5.

asked the Minister for Finance the total volume of money represented by the requests of local authorities for issues from the Local Loans Fund, which are normally met from that source.

Requests from local authorities in the current financial year to date for issues from the Local Loans Fund on foot of approved loans amount in the aggregate to £12.4 million.

Could the Minister state what moneys have been paid to date and, if available, could he also say how this compares with last year's figures?

Of the figure of £12.4 million, £11.73 million were paid in the period from 1st April to 2nd November and the amount paid in the corresponding period last year was £7.63 million.

Was the Deputy not bright to think of that?
