Vol. 218 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Bank Loans to Private Sector.

6.

asked the Minister for Finance the average annual increase for the last five years in bank lending to the private sector; and if he is aware that there is grave danger that a general restriction of bank credit to this sector can cause serious unemployment.

As the reply contains a tabular statement, I propose, with your permission, a Cheann Comhairle, to circulate it with the Official Report.

Following is the statement:—

BILLS, Loans and Advances Outstanding (Other than Government and Local Authorities)—within the State.
