At present, comprehensive proposals are being formulated for the allotment of upwards of 1,600 acres on this and other estates in this district. As stated in reply to a previous question on 6th July last, the claims of the many eligible uneconomic holders in and around the locality will be investigated and assessed in a most thorough manner by the Land Commission before the claims of more distant applicants are considered.
Could the Parliamentary Secretary say what stage the situation has reached?
