Vol. 218 No. 11

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Limerick College of Technology.

76.

asked the Minister for Education whether any final decision has as yet been taken by his Department on the siting of the new regional college of technology at Limerick; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I understand that a final decision has not yet been taken by the City of Limerick Vocational Education Committee as to the most appropriate site for the regional technical college. Drawings showing the layout of the college buildings on a site acquired by the committee in 1963 were examined early this month by officers of my Department and it was expected that these drawings would be considered by the committee at their November meeting together with the question of the adequacy of the site for the college. My Department is awaiting the further proposals of the committee in this matter.
