Vol. 219 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Cork Schools.

60.

asked the Minister for Education (a) the position in regard to the building of a new school at Blarney or the provision of an extension to the present one, and (b) the position in regard to the provision of a new school at Rathduff, Cork.

Sketch plans for the provision of an extension to the existing Blarney schools have been prepared by the Commissioners of Public Works and my Department is in correspondence with the Reverend Manager in regard to the further arrangements, which require to be made before a grant can be sanctioned.

A suitable site has been obtained for a new school to replace Rathduff national school. Sketch plans have been prepared for the erection of the new building. My Department will sanction a grant in the case when satisfactory documentary evidence of title to the site has been furnished.
