Vol. 220 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Kerry Forestry Workers.

21.

asked the Minister for Lands if he is aware that workers who are employed on forestry work at Glencar, County Kerry are becoming alarmed as to their future employment as the present lands are almost planted; and what steps he will take to ensure that these men will continue to be secure in their employment.

The future employment pattern at this forest, as in forests generally, will fall to be reviewed in the light of work requirements at the end of the financial year. I cannot at this stage forecast the position for next year.
