Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Cork Regional Technical College.

33.

asked the Minister for Education what is the present position in relation to the projected technical college in Cork city.

A site has been acquired for the regional technical college in Cork city. The question of the extent of the accommodation to be provided in the college is under discussion between the vocational education committee and my Department. It is expected that the schedule of accommodation will be finalised at an early date.

It will be "finalised at an early date" in Cork city. Is there any significance attaching to this?

I just want to point out that I said that the schedule of accommodation will be finalised at an early date. Perhaps Deputy Dillon would like to study the matter a little further and he will realise the significance of that.

I was just hopeful that Cork would get it before the crisis was over.
