Vol. 220 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Sittings of UN Committees.

3.

Mr. O'Leary

asked the Minister for External Affairs whether the reported statement by an officer of his Department regarding his wife's reservations in regard to late night sittings of the UN sub committees had the approval of his Department; and, if not, whether he will arrange that such objections to late night sittings will not in future impede this country's work in the UN.

I am aware of the alleged statement referred to by the Deputy but I hope that he would not expect me to take seriously reports of light-hearted remarks said to have been made on the timing of Committee meetings.
