Vol. 221 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Dublin Corporation Housing List.

38.

asked the Minister for Local Government the number of families of (a) five, (b) four and (c) three at present on the Dublin Corporation priority waiting list.

The total numbers of families of five, four and three persons on the corporation's approved waiting list for rehousing at present are 997, 1,641 and 1,056 respectively. The waiting list includes all categories approved for rehousing. Priority is given at present to families in occupation of dangerous buildings. There are 11, 23 and 26 such families of five, four and three persons, respectively, on the list at present.

Does that mean that the number in regard to five mentioned there has increased by 200 since the question was asked last week?

This does not apply to families in one room. That is not the question. The question asked was the number of persons, five, four and three, in one room and the question here is not so restricted.

So there are not that number in one room?

I would not say so.
